I woke at 3am, panicked choked me after a traumatic nightmare. Pen to paper, and a little of the poison was gone.
Let's assume my heart is being real tonight.

This is the first poem I've had the guts to publish and it's about the pit that some fall into and how it can be really difficult to climb out of it at times.
this was written to try and motivate me to get out of bed. every day brings possible excitement.
