In the future, being perfect is a death sentence. Everyone has a part that can be deemed superior. If you're poor, that part will be surgically removed so it can be attached to a wealthier person to make them perfect. For Astrid, being perfect means being on the run, hoping that one day, the government which allows the spare parts practice to continue will fall. After three years of running, she finally found her chance in Will, a boy involved in a secret rebellion aiming to take down the government.
