A short poem about the pressures of being saddled with more responsibilities than should be placed on a young person.

Demands

The pressure on my sloped shoulders grows. And more yet is added.

My collarbones have hairline cracks running through them. And my aching head is full.

When I'm crushed like a steel ball at the bottom of the sea I'll have nothing to say except I told you so.
