I shelter a snake in my belly, A small thing, I never noticed crawl in.
It sits in my stomach, twisting and turning, tangling my guts into dozens of little knots.
Its shifting creates earthquakes that ripple through me and leave my limbs trembling like dying leaves in autumn wind.
Sometimes it streches and climbs up my throat for fresh air stealing half my breaths, forcing me to swallow him back down again.
And at night, It curls around my heart for warmth, and -squeezes- keeping me awake and staring in the dark -waiting-
There´s a snake hiding in my belly - such a small thing - I didn´t even notice crawl in -
But it is so very afraid.
