Lightening Force

My memory is usually bad but I do remember some things from the past.

I remember that I bought Lightening Force for the Sega Genesis twenty-six years ago today.

I bought it on July 26, 1993. I bought it 26 years ago on the 26th. At the time, I bought it at Kmart for $28.00. That was pretty cheap.

It is a side scroller flying game. It is similar to R Type and Gradius.

It was also sold under the title 'Thunder Force IV'.

It allows the player to set the number of ships and it gives six continues. When I set the number of ships to 1, I was amazed to learn that it gives 99 ships per game.

Yes, that sounds crazy but it's true. Choosing 1 ship gets you 99 ships.

But because it only takes one hit to destroy your ship, you'll need all 99 of those ships and at least one or two of the continues to beat the game.

The game has about 10 levels and bosses that must be destroyed.

I have always loved this game. It is action packed, not super duper difficult and it has great music as well. If you collect Genesis games, get this one.
