Here I tried to work on my rhyming skills; here I also fail at rhyming. I have no explanation for the poor poor quality of this poem, except for one day I will be able to mark my work with the words "my best piece". (One day)

The Gates of Heaven

The queen of the darkness is the prisoner of the light

Every breath is a new insight

When I bleed I bleed my hopes and dreams

I realise they are much much more then they seem

But when shards of sky shatter my mortality

I am finally, finally free

For a fee, a price

A price that'll take me to new heights

Why does it take death

Why does it take death to bring immortality?
