A poem about my cat deciding that my bed isn't good enough for her anymore. No matter how much it hurts, I always take her back.

True Betrayal.

You make your bed.

Purring and kneading.

You rest your sleepy head

while I lie here reading.

Days pass by

a patch of fur appears.

You’re no longer shy.

Made clear by those smears.

Return home from work.

No sign in my room.

Where do you lurk?

The truth it does loom.

In the living room, I find you.

On a cushion, there you are splayed.

Space shared, dirty sheets, things I do rue.

For it is I, that you have betrayed.
