Out in the open air
Stand upon the earth in the middle
Fire and water counter to metal and wood
Unable to look beyond the center
She stands still,
For she's too afraid to look up
And see the grace of the stars,
The radiance of the moon,
And the humility of the sun,
And she's comforted by the ground,
Holding her down
To the body she knows,
The air she breathes,
The life she's told to live,
She's a prisoner to her stance
Looking for the keys to the cage
She built herself,
Knowing she places the keys
Upon each element that surrounds
Inside her creation
And the locks are found above.
She's too scared to look up
To the freedom she desperately wants
But doubts she deserves.
