I Can Feel The Sickness

by natrob516

I walk into a room of joy and laughter

But I can feel the sickness.

It coats every inch of every wall.

I can feel the sickness.

Every surface I touch leaves residue on my skin.

No matter how hard I scrub,

It always remains.

Scalding water flows over my skin

But it is still there

Still there.

Still there.

I can feel the sickness.

Very different context but reminds me if Lady Macbeth talking about why she can't wash her hands clean of blood
