Giving Thanks - Part 3

So Mary and I were still driving around town looking for houses that housed people who had given me food.

I was on my wavy to all of the houses because I had to say 'thank you' to each and everyone of them. They had done the ultimate nice thing, which was to give my stomach food.

"So Mary, we have been driving around for an awful long time now, what do you say we pull into the next fast food restaurant and order some fast food?"

"Moe, are you sure? I thought that your doctor said that you have to stop eating food for a week because of the size of your gut?"

"He did say that, you're right, but hear this Mary. I have just remembered that one time the cashier gave me a free dinner, and so I guess I should go thank him!"

"Alright Moe, let's do it."

We pulled into the parking lot of the fast food establishment. We got out of the car and walked to the front door. We went inside.

"There he is Mary! See that skinny man with the tiny face and the strong jaw line?"

"Yes, the unconventionally handsome one? The one with the nice teeth?"

"That's him! Wow, what a good tie he's got on!"

Mary and I walked up to the man. We were like excited fans meeting their pop idols.

"Hi, welcome to Chuck's Burger Sanctuary, what can I get you this evening?"

"Do you remember me?"

"I'm sorry?"

"One time you gave me free food! I am so grateful. I need you to know this, ok?"

"Ok, so would you maybe wanna place an order now?"

"No! Can't you see that I'm opening up to you? This is a big deal for me!"

"What is going on?"

I started screaming in sadness. Mary had to drag me out of Chuck's Burger Sanctuary. She held me in the parking lot as I sobbed for a few minutes.

"Do you, FEEL better now, Moe?!"

"Mary, ya know, I really do! Shall we move on to the next house?"

"Let's do it!"

We got back in the car and continued on our way.
