The Greatest Businessman You've Never Heard Of

by johnchang

A few years ago, my friend and mentor Dave passed away..

But before he did, this man taught me more than my MBA..

No, he wasn't as rich as Bill Gates..

..nor was he as notorious as Donald Trump..

But he was more wealthy & successful than anyone else I knew

Over coffee at a local Starbucks he'd tell me..

How he started a business to spend more time with his family

How he camped by the beach with his son out of a van..

..that he used to deliver books to pet stores..

Even years later, when his business went global..

Dave was still grateful..

For clients he served..

For time with his family..

Dave reminded me how in the end..

it's all just about serving others..

"You can have everything in life you want..

..if you will just help other people get what they want."

@sydney - y, Dave was quite a man, yet so down-to-earth. Whether you were his best client or the Starbucks gal, he was glad to know you.

@tabnash24 - y, Dave embodied the idea that "everything should be as simple as possible, but no simpler.."
