An unexpected rain dresses the rooftops of downtown Nashville. Eve looks out the window and let’s out a disappointing sigh. Any drop of precipitation in Nashville was a death sentence for drivers on the road. No one was going to come out to a Christmas party to hear a new artist perform unfamiliar songs. ‘What do I do now?’ Eve thought to herself. Bills are due, and this gig was the only sure job she had booked for months. ‘Maybe moving here was a big mistake. With rent due in a few weeks, I need to start packing!’ Eve’s eyes scanned the room, and she started to take inventory of her items. The seven guitars she played day and night were now extra cargo she did need. She leverage the idea of selling six to pay her rent, and giving her career as a country artist another month. ‘If I’m going to give my career a real chance, then I can’t make excuses or hold on to anything that would keep me from pursuing my dream 100%.’ As Eve’s heart burns with desire to make her dream of being a famous musician come true, the rain stops. Mary Elizabeth hears the silence. She goes to the window and sees the clouds are clearing, and her opportunity to play on a live stage before a large audience is available. Eve’s goes to the mirror to check her hair, outfit, and makeup. She is satisfied with her look, so she grabs her guitar and heads for the door. Suddenly, a knock on the door stops her progress. “Who is it?” Eve shouts to whomever is on the other side. A man with a deep voice replied. “It’s Adam. The band manager wants to know if you are ready to go on the stage?” Eve takes a deep breathe, and she said. “I’m as ready as I’ll ever!” She opens the door, and Adam immediately takes her hand. Adam guides Eve to the stage where her dreams are about to come true.
