Empty Space
Bent metal and metallic paint
airbags, shattered glass
fields of green with golden specks
broken wood, barbed wire.
This is a free verse poem about a car crash it’s a true story I was in a car with 3 people when we had a blowout and ploughed through the central reservation I was the only survivor.
I do I have mental health issues that mean I have some recurring nightmares. Some of which are very disturbing. Also sometimes I can’t shut my mind off I have racing thoughts.
