I started writing a couple of years ago, as a way to release stress. I'm a fifty year old "sparky," that my wife raises...lives in South East U.S. I did release a kid's book into that evil cyber rainforest. It's called "The Saucy Boy". It's a retelling (set to rhyme, and modernized) of Han Christian Anderson's, "The Naughty Boy". Check it out, if you have small ones (5-10), but I also wrote it to be interesting for the adults that often do the reading. It's a subject matter that I am passionate about, because long-term healthy relationships are crucial! https://www.amazon.com/dp/1736985515
Anything, that's well written. Some that I've really enjoyed: Terry Pratchett, George R.R. Martin, Stephen King, O'Henry, Emily Bronte, Chuck Palhanuik, Winston Groom, Chaucer, Peter Straub, Niel Gaiman, Robert Mccammon, Tim Dorsey, Conn Iggulden, really the list goes on... (Well almost anything- I don't do "spicy" romance!)
Free verse rhyme mostly. Though I dabble in metered pieces as well. Pop culture pieces... Anything that tells a story, really. The best way I can explain it, is putting together a puzzle with no picture. When an image comes out, it is deeply satisfying! Sadly, it doesn't pan out all the time... but that just makes the next time all the sweeter!
