Winter is here. Another seasonal transition. How are you preparing?

WINTER: About to take a leap. Ready to drift silently. I turned and there you were facing me. Reaching out. Your stiff hand beginning to numb mines. In no second thought you sprung wrapping around me. We are now falling at full speed. In full scream as you laugh childishly. Crash landed. Shook the leaves off the trees.

Fall has ended and I stare at those eyes. Your eyes. Frozen in my gaze. I smiled and welcomed the winter days. We did not take each others hands. We simply stood on our own. Facing the winter days that turned in months that turned into years. Being by your side was the same as being alone.
