A free-verse poem about rain in the evening. If you are in a bad mood, then read this. It's soothing and I highly recommend you reading this! A very bad attempt at poetry but I tried :)

Evening Rain

Petrichor fill my nostrils

Petrichor fill my nostrils Puddles of water on the sides of the road

Petrichor fill my nostrils Puddles of water on the sides of the road The splash from the cars going by

Petrichor fill my nostrils Puddles of water on the sides of the road The splash from the cars going by And the sky in a pink-red hue

Petrichor fill my nostrils Puddles of water on the sides of the road The splash from the cars going by And the sky in a pink-red hue I walk with my umbrella

Petrichor fill my nostrils Puddles of water on the sides of the road The splash from the cars going by And the sky in a pink-red hue I walk with my umbrella Mesmerising the aftermath of rain

Dandelions and weeds smile at the rain

Dandelions and weeds smile at the rain And the birds start to chirp once more

Dandelions and weeds smile at the rain And the birds start to chirp once more Sticks and leaves lay on the ground

Dandelions and weeds smile at the rain And the birds start to chirp once more Sticks and leaves lay on the ground The clouds hang above the smudged sky

Dandelions and weeds smile at the rain And the birds start to chirp once more Sticks and leaves lay on the ground The clouds hang above the smudged sky The sun glowed in the sky

And I felt something delicately touching my arms

A little drizzle of rain drums against roofs

A little drizzle of rain drums against roofs I hold my umbrella and watch the drops trickle down

A little drizzle of rain drums against roofs I hold my umbrella and watch the drops trickle down I smile and I throw my umbrella

A little drizzle of rain drums against roofs I hold my umbrella and watch the drops trickle down I smile and I throw my umbrella And I start to twirl while looking at the clouds above me

A little drizzle of rain drums against roofs I hold my umbrella and watch the drops trickle down I smile and I throw my umbrella And I start to twirl while looking at the clouds above me The clouds greet me

A little drizzle of rain drums against roofs I hold my umbrella and watch the drops trickle down I smile and I throw my umbrella And I start to twirl while looking at the clouds above me The clouds greet me And rain keeps on falling

I felt free and twirl around splashing raindrops everywhere

I felt free and twirl around splashing raindrops everywhere The sky turned orange

I felt free and twirl around splashing raindrops everywhere The sky turned orange And my eyes fill with the colour

I felt free and twirl around splashing raindrops everywhere The sky turned orange And my eyes fill with the colour The rain suddenly eases

I felt free and twirl around splashing raindrops everywhere The sky turned orange And my eyes fill with the colour The rain suddenly eases With drops of water rolling of leaves and dripping

I smile and wave the clouds goodbye
