A small writing about anxiety and how it infiltrates into daily life.

Me, myself and anxiety

You still have control.

I let you run my life as I watch on in a free fall.

Hurt me once. Hurt me a thousand times.

There’s nothing scarier than ones mind.

You hold on to my hope making me numb inside.

You let the demons loose when you know I’m already done tonight.

I feel it creeping up my neck making me lose my breath.

Sinking as my body reacts jarringly on the outside.

Oh how I hoped to bury you.

But you’ll be gazing down at my grave.

Rest easy now, you’ll say there’s no more breaths to take.
