If you thought

by whoneedsaname

Was it worth it? Did it make you feel alive?

Was that really a valid reason To tell someone else to die?

If you'd just thought before you spoke Who knows how different things would be It would have been easier to just hold your tongue To start thinking right when you talked to me.

You didn't think in the moment Before the shout

But once you said it It was always out

If you'd just thought for a moment You just might have seen

That what you thought Wasn't clear to me.

And even if you didn't mean it And you didn't care what I heard That isn't any justification For you to have said those words

If you'd thought before you spoke Who knows how much better things'd be And so it shouldn't be that hard to accept your wrongs And start thinking right when you speak to me.

No, to anyone.

Wow, this is illustrative of a tragic relationship. The writing draws the reader into the midst of this volatile and bombastic relationship. The message seems directed at an egregious act on the part of one of the lovers. Great writing!!!!!!
