Dreamlike.

Underwater

I feel like I'm underwater, and way out of my depth.

I feel like I'm underwater, and way out of my depth. Everything's so frantic, manic, and I'm in over my head.

Disappearing through my sheets as I slowly sink back in

Disappearing through my sheets as I slowly sink back in My heartless sleeves eating me: cocooned in my cardigan.

And everything feels underwater... blurry, a slow burn.

And everything feels underwater... blurry, a slow burn. Speckled freckles of cheeks flushed forever, humbled with concern.

Low, hummed murmurs echoing a Greek chorus of my self-doubt.

Low, hummed murmurs echoing a Greek chorus of my self-doubt. They rarely speak, but when they talk, good Lord... the voices are loud.

You and me move underwater: in a struggle, as a dance

You and me move underwater: in a struggle, as a dance Chaos controlled by fears centuries old, wet sand through an hourglass.

Electric, dark brown, fringed eyes contemplating the shock to the system

Electric, dark brown, fringed eyes contemplating the shock to the system While standing there, unaware, like a poem waiting to be written.

Because everything is underwater

Because everything is underwater ...swamped and lost at sea.

And in my world of water color..

And in my world of water color.. Oh. Art is all that you could be.
