A poem about suicide.

Ambulance

Your mother wails louder than the Ambulance,

she holds your limp hand and prays,

her maternal love will save you,

but how can it save you now?

Your classmates buy flowers you wouldn't even like,

ruby roses,

as if they loved you,

pale pink,

as if they were your friends.

"We never saw the signs",

when the signs were billboards,

painted startling scarlet,

painted bloody.

"Live for me?"

"I can't live for anyone but myself"

'Sorrow' stricken strangers in funeral black,

sobbing as if tears were glue,

that could piece you back to life.
