After classes were over and Mineta was retrieved from his spot on the pavement, Bakugo and Kirishima walked home together.
On the way there, Kirishima had an idea of spending the night at Bakugo's house and brought it to his attention. Of course Bakugo said...
But his parents didn't.
Kirishima had followed him all the way to his house, saying how even though he said no, that didn't mean his parents would. And he was right.
Masaru, Bakugo's dad, said it was okay as long as Mitsuki, Bakugo's mom, said it was okay also.
Mitsuki hmmed as she looked Kirishima over, whether or not determining if he was a good friend for Bakugo.
Bakugo had called his mom 'old hag' as usual and was being held to Mitsuki's side as she determined whether or not he could stay the night.
Without further ado, she gave the okay and Kirishima was allowed to stay the night to Bakugo's slight displeasure.
Kirishima was his best friend, considering but that didn't mean he would admit it.
In Bakugo's room, which Mitsuki said to go on up to as she finished cooking dinner, Bakugo laid on his bed, said he was taking a nap, not to bother him and not to touch anything. Kirishima sighed, not surprised about the 'don't bother me' and 'don't touch anything' rule. He explored the room anyway, careful not to touch anything; even if he did, not for too long. Otherwise, Bakugo would know and be super pissed he-
had touched his stuff. In the end, begrudgingly so, they watched a couple movies together after taking showers and changing into night attire, Kirishima on the floor in a shark bean-bag and Bakugo sleeping in his bed, Bakugo sleeping later than usual. Maybe not the best idea but the movies were long and Bakugo didn't want Kirishima to think about doing who knows what.
(Timeskip: At 1:00am) (The movies lasted until 11:00) Bakugo groaned in his sleep a couple times, tossing and turning which was unlike him as he usually was said to sleep like a baby; at other times, a jumping kangaroo, ready to wake up at any moment.
An explosion and heavy breathing is woke Kirishima. He looked over and noticing Bakugo's state, rushed over, hardening so as not to get hurt from Bakugo's explosions, tried to get him to calm down. Even with the loudness Bakugo was making, Mitsuki and Masaru hadn't seemed to notice and make a commotion about what the noise was.
"Bakubro, calm down-" For one thing, Bakugo would get more than just some measly fever if he didn't stop. Kirishima then noticed something that both shocked him and concerned him; in the middle of explosion marathon and tossing and turning new lifestyle he had gotten for himself, it seemed, Bakugo was,,, crying...
Kirishima continued to use his quirk to not get hurt by him and during this, tried to calm Bakugo down. He used calm and soothing words with a soft voice, saying them in Bakugo's ear so he could hear it over the loud explosive episode. Bakugo stopped tossing and turning as much and the explosions got smaller as he kept repeating the same sentences: "Calm down, everything is okay, nothing's-
going to happen to you. Everything is okay, you're okay and I'm okay. We're all okay." As for good measure, Kirishima hugged him to him as he continued repeating those soft, calm and reassuring words in his ear.
In the end, Bakugo calmed down, Kirishima still telling him those things, him eventually falling asleep as well. Kirishima's thoughts before he delved into the darkness of dreams and potential nightmares, whichever the sleeping world deemed him to have, were as follows: "How long had this been going on? Was this new? Or was it old? Did he always do it alone or was there someone who-
helped him with it? And if there was, where were they now? Why weren't they here, helping him through it like all the other times I'm assuming they helped him through?" He promised ,then and there, he would find out the answers to those questions and even better, find out who, if someone had, had helped Bakugo before if this was long term and not short term.
Well, one's thing for sure, this wouldn't be the last time he's helping him.
