The Forest Of Man

We were destined to be stars Revoked revolutions burning out in a blaze of solitude and white fire But moments eroded , The forest was another great story told again

Let us build a home among the burrows Among the melting mass of flesh piling upon Gods table Forsaken bodies Forsaken sins The subtle accumulation of water wailin symphonies A moment for here Another for there Anytime , oh yes I’d do

At last the night falls to fiction And we are alone Holding our hearts with both hands Praying for another day Another way to feel all the things that a human can know This moment that comes and goes is one for the poets We live and then we die Either burning or washing away with the tide
