Sadly, longtime Jeopardy host Alex Trebek passed away recently at the age of 80.
Now the $1000 (or $2000!) question is who will be Alex Trebek's replacement on the show.
As a longtime watcher of the show, here are a few of my own choices on whom I think would make a, shall wesay, interesting host.
Actually, I think Ben Stein would make a fairly good host of the show given he's already hosted his own game show "Win Ben Stein's Money".
Whenever someone gives a wrong or stupid answer, Darth could just Force choke them!
Samuel L. Jackson
Who WOULDN'T want to see Sam Jackson say to a contestant on national TV: "Wrong answer, motherfucker!"
Like Sam Jackson only he's an actual comedian.
The silent one from Penn & Teller.
Now you might be asking yourself how can a guy who's known for NOT talking host a game show? You know, that's a damn GOOD question!
Of course, this choice is in reference to the infamous Saturday Night Live skit where the former James Bond was a contestant on the game show.
Weird Al Yankovic
Hey, he DID do the "parody" song "I Lost On Jeopardy"!
Well, Alex DID say he'd like a woman to replace him as host on Jeopardy!
Of course, it probably goes without saying NONE of these choices-with the possible exception of maybe Ben Stein-would EVER be chosen to host the show.
My guess is they'll probably make some "woke" choice in picking Alex's replacement. (You know,so as NOT to offend the "woke" mob who DON'T watch Jeopardy to begin with.)
Just so long as they DON'T pick Jimmy "Blackface" Kimmel (who was Ben Stein's co-host on his game show).
Or "Jeopardy Villain" Arthur Chu (whom Alex reportedly did NOT like).
In all seriousness, it will be VERY hard to "replace" Alex Trebek as host of Jeopardy since he was SO synonymous with that show.
Whoever they end up picking as host, the show will definitely NOT be the same.
R.I.P., Alex. You WILL be sorely missed!
