Butterfly starring Pia Zadora
This eighties flick stars one of my boyhood crushes actress/singer Pia Zadora. I don't think I can say what the plot of this particular flick is on here. (That's how "naughty" it is!)
My Dad's Playboys
Growing up in the eighties back before the advent of the Internet-a.k.a. the Dark Ages!-if you wanted to look at a picture of a naked lady you had to sneak a peek at your Dad's "hidden" Playboys.
The Pool Scene from Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Another one of my boyhood crushes was popular eighties actress Phoebe Cates, especially after "seeing" her in that infamous "pool scene" from the flick Fast Times At Ridgemont High. (Google it!)
Yet another one of my boyhood crushes was Samantha Fox who got her start as a "Page 3" model on British tabloid The Sun before becoming a popular 80s pop singer with ditties such as "Touch Me".
Madonna's Hairy Armpits in Playboy
When old modeling pics of The Material Girl came out in-where else!-Playboy people were SHOCKED to see her hairy armpits. Of course, today it would not be as big of a deal as it was back then.
Books by Xaviera Hollander
Some of the first "dirty books" I remember reading were written by Xaviera Hollander who also went by the moniker The Happy Hooker. (Guess why she called herself THAT. Go on, take a wild guess!)
"Slave" Princess Leia from Return of the Jedi
Every boy growing up in the eighties remembers the very first time they saw Princess Leia in that infamous gold metal bikini in Jabba's Palace from Return of the Jedi. (I saw the film TWICE!)
Vanessa Williams in Penthouse
Vanessa Williams was crowned Miss USA back in the 80s. Her "crown" was taken away when old nudie pics of her surfaced in-where else!-Penthouse. Vanessa then became a popular singer & actress.
Bo Derek running down the beach in the movie 10
Bo Derek became THE sex symbol of the decade after THIS scene in her biggest hit film 10. Although it was rather scandalous back then, today you can see this type of T & A in a Disney flick!
I already posted a piece about this but I think it's worth mentioning again since female superheroes were among my first "crushes" growing up. (I didn't watch Wonder Woman growing up. Go figure!)
"Naughty Naughty" song by John Parr
This singer is best known for singing the theme song of the "classic" eighties flick St. Elmo's Fire. However, before that, he had a "hit" song with the aptly-titled Naughty Naughty.
In the 80s you didn't get much "naughtier" than comic Eddie Murphy. In fact, in today's PC society he probably wouldn't have a comedy career today. (His "Mr. T" skit would make Twitter explode!)
One more "naughty" thing about growing up in the 80s . . .
As you can probably tell, growing up in the eighties was a less politically correct time than it is now. You can, of course, decide for yourself if you think that's a "good" thing or not.
