You don't want to go there. 🌲🌳🍃

The Forest

by SynthaSpide

The forest feels your fear

The forest feels your fear And it knows you don't belong here.

The forest feels your fear And it knows you don't belong here. Every other gust of wind

The forest feels your fear And it knows you don't belong here. Every other gust of wind Begs you to stop going so deep.

You won't find your fortune here,

You won't find your fortune here, No treasure rests under these leaves

You won't find your fortune here, No treasure rests under these leaves Waiting patiently

You won't find your fortune here, No treasure rests under these leaves Waiting patiently For a fool's bravery.

You came inside with a dream,

You came inside with a dream, A hope to meet your destiny,

You came inside with a dream, A hope to meet your destiny, A saddening, childish belief

You came inside with a dream, A hope to meet your destiny, A saddening, childish belief That nature will dry your tears.

You never believed in ghost stories,

You never believed in ghost stories, Maddening creatures hiding beneath,

You never believed in ghost stories, Maddening creatures hiding beneath, But what this forest has yet to reveal

Shall put and end to your sorrowful journey.
