My daily meditation routine
I meditate first thing when I wake up
It gets me in the right mindset for the rest of the day.
Meditation has kept my mind calm
I don't overreact. I can control how I feel. i sleep better. Very easy to see the benefits on my life.
How did I get started?
I started using http://www.calm.com/ over a year ago. It had a really nice tutorial to get me into it.
It wasn't easy.
My mind would keep wandering. Sometimes I'd feel a rush in my stomach wondering when I could start work. Some days it was hard to convince myself to do it.
But it got better.
I started at 5 minutes a day. As I got used to it and could let go of my thoughts more, I moved up to 10-15 minutes a day.
Meditating after stressful events or meetings = amazing
Sometimes i'll do a 2 minute session on Calm after something stressful. Gets me in the right mindset to continue my work.
Now, sometimes I use the app, sometimes I don't
I'll sometimes play some music and meditate. Or try out new ideas and services. Different types of meditation can make you happier, calmer, more thoughtful, and more!
