The Cat's Tax.

I am a cat originale, In gold guilded armour, Worked for kings, Of the kitchen, To the lowliest farmer.

My claws must be sharpened, My teeth cut with knives, I'm a killer, Destroyer, With ninty-nine lives.

My pay is extortionate, To the highest degree, But I'm modest, Understanding, I'll waive them* *For a fee.

And my taxes are simple, I owe mine in mice - I stalk them, I catch them, Deliver - On ice.

And no man may match me, No dog to my bite, I hunt in the shadows, A Malignant, Cat-Sprite.

So you'll find no one better, I'm not easily denied - Let me in, After all, No cat ever lied.
