It is not a crime to be young
It is not a crime to be young, but some people treat young people like they think it is.
Being young isn’t a disease
Being young isn’t a disease, but you can die from it.
It isn’t a disease, but the young often are treated like it is.
Being young is not a defect
Being young is not a defect, but many young people feel defective.
Worse, many older people treat the young like they are flawed.
Young is not a synonym for stupid!
Most of the “problems” with being young are nothing but a lack of knowledge or experience. Or both.
You can’t be old and wise unless you have first been young and stupid.

Revel in your youth. Use the boundless reserves of energy to fuel your exploration of the world.
There is enough knowledge in the world that you will never learn all of it.
Don’t sweat it. Learn all you can of what captures your interest.
There are plenty of things in the world that are not known.
There are plenty of things in the world that are not known. Explore them. Expand the realm of knowledge.
Never lose your childlike sense of wonder. The world is full of wonderful things to experience.
Love easily, love deeply. Give yourself fully. It might end in pain, but the reward is worth it.
Look to older people for guidance, but be careful who you listen to. A sour old person will discourage you.
Listen to experts. They will tell you what can’t be done and why. Then go do it. (Borrowed from novelist Robert A. Heinlein)
Your life might be full of pain right now, but it will get better.
Tough times truly DON'T last, but people survive.
