As budding limbs burst forth into proud glory Call out to roving hearts, come see, come see! Leave far behind the same old simple story.
Turn your face to far horizons free Your steps to follow sirens yearning song To forest dim or velvet budding lea.
Tread your chosen path while thews are strong Drain the cup unto its deepest measure And leave behind the sameness of the throng,
O’er stormy seas to search for fabled treasure Fearing not a whit the gathering clouds, Nor if tomorrow brings you pain or pleasure.
Chant sonnets as the quest your heart enshrouds And leads your steps far from the maddening crowds.
