It's another thing about stuff, basically. :)

An Affection for Questions

by Steve Marsden

Upon reflection, the rejection of a question

is intellectual indigestion born of the tension of what's real and what might be

It's a gesture of genuflection to an addiction to

sly adulteration of the exalted station of facts on which we all agree,

Do question their obsession of avoiding a confession

as an aberration and an affliction and instead courting adoration but rule by decree

The actuation and accumulation of their awful

abominations will cause acceleration of the demise of this administration, you'll see.

Bit political but not partisan, I don't think.

I loved the alliteration. I would call the meter a beat as I felt it measured beat like a song running through your poem. The message, one that at least I agree with, was compelling. You have a ton of talent. That talent coupled with your eloquence makes your writing enjoyable. Great poem!!!!!!!
