I study the pictures and profiles set before of several different girls of all ages, races, body types, and personalities.
The one that stands out to me the most is a sixteen year old dirty blonde athlete - Lafayette Erins.
I carefully thumb through her file and see that she is successful in many sports; volleyball, gymnastics, soccer, lacrosse, and track.
Along with being proficient in learning and speaking many languages yet struggling in many other areas of education. "I will take the Erins girl.
" I hold up the pamphlet and hear some of officers chuckle.
"Will do Grand Admiral, we will contact her family." I nod and gather all of her information that they had behind the desk and head back to my room to prepare for her arrival.
LAFAYETTE ERINS POV
"Last one." I yell towards my dad and Trevor while I throw the grain bag on the trailer and jump in bracing for the bumpy ride back. When we get back I see Parker waiting with my mom.
As I'm climbing down from the I see Trevor run and hug Parker,
"PARKS!" I scream as she is busy making out with her boyfriend.
"LAF!" She screams back as she pulls away while trying to catch her breath. Out of no where a small group of Imperials of speeders? Comes into view and draws their guns ordering us on the ground.
"Who here is Lafayette Erin's?" I slowly raise my hand in a non-menacing way as much I can manage. "You will report to Arena 5 station tomorrow morning at nine am with all your belongs.
" He then proceeds to set an iPad like device before me and they leave.
"You have been selected to join The Empire's bridal service..." I read out loud and want to barf before I can finish the sentence.
-- Next Morning--
I attempt to study the charts and graphs as the shuttle touches down. My stomach does a nervous flip - not for myself but the young Lafayette girl and her family that I'm splitting apart.
From her file I have gathered that she is number two of eight, but the oldest in the house because her older sibling is a step-sibling.
Her mother has remarried and with her second husband they have had five kids. Her biological father was killed in a mysterious incident while he was on a business trip.
"Grand Admiral we are landing now." I thank the pilot and allow my death troopers to escort me to the meeting point. Ch'ah cart'ar lah likes ch'ah... (I hope she likes me...
) Is all I can think over and over again as we venture out into the port. My expression is blank but my mind is filled with plans, hopes, and dreams.
I stand at the meeting point awkwardly with my family, trying to ignore my dad who is pacing and my mom who currently checking her phone every six seconds.
I see the waves of people part and silence fills the room as whatever or whoever's walking through.
As the crowd parts and I see a group of black clad stormtroopers surrounding a blue person? Just when I thought my life couldn't get any weirder...
