~ The Mist ~

The Mist

Dark clouds, dying trees A mist of sorrow surrounds me Can not see a thing In this gray labyrinth

I lit the lantern But nothing is cleared I’m still in the maze Of sadness and grief

The blood moon rises From the shadows of the clouds Whilst clearing the mist, revealing The loneliness around me

Everything’s dead From ground to air No friends, no refuge No love, only despair

I stand by myself in the forest Calling up on the mist Better to be lost in sorrow Than left all alone
