A poem about death and a destructive way of grieving for a loved one

Do you really think?

by sp00terman

I am trapped inside of my very own mind

As I lie down and gaze at the stars I cannot help but believe the clear skies to rain

And through devouring disease

Do you really believe that love can last between planes?

I stab at the weakness sheer of thought

And I become reliant on being more animal than not

Do you really think that you can love me out of my hate?

I have broken all bonds with my only restraint

Once like you, love held me back

Until my love perished, and my world sank to black.

This was intense. I want to see you write more. Your style is dark but very well stated. I loved this poem, eventhough it is scary. Great poem!!!
