We all have secrets.

Just Somebody's Mom

by somebodysmom

Today I drag my chair up the hill to find my spot on the sidelines. I laugh with the parents, I yell, "Let's go girls!"

Because today I am Gatorade and yoga pants and soccer cleats.

Today I am lattes and carpools and high fives.

Today I am somebody's mom.

But last night, I smile to myself. "I wonder what they would think if they knew?"

That last night I was beauty and quiet secrets and white flame

Last night I was loud passion and soft kisses and sweat.

Last night I was somebody's lover.

Today I'm just somebody's mom.
