Hey guys! Here's the poem I wrote for #WorldRecordPoetry. However, this is my first blog AND I'm not exactly a full-on poet. I usually write stories, scientific articles and theory blogs. I thought I'd make a change!
Thanks for reading if you did, thanks for considering this entry, glad to be part of the biggest poetry comp ever! <3

Matter | Poem for #WorldRecordPoetry

Matter

By Cecily on Commaful

There's sense in calling it "matter",

and by "it", I mean every "it" you ever saw.

Every smudge on the sofa,

Every picture in the frame.

Every human you've ever met

and every you will never meet.

Every whisper that passes their lips,

Every thought and mindful emotion.

Every single word in the dictionary,

and everything more.

Even the occurrences that remain

unforetold, forgotten, meaningless.

Who invented the phrase

"It doesn't matter"?

Us, but then, what isn't matter

Isn't "it".

So "it" matters.
