I gripped hard onto the rock, it was sharp.
A bead of blood fell onto the dirt.
I lifted my bare foot and secured it in the rock.
With a deep breath, I gripped the rock with another hand and pulled myself up.
I climbed onto the flat rock, jutting out of the cliff face and sat there.
The sun would set soon.
Slowly, the sun began to sink behind the ocean, setting fire to the sky around it.
Rich hues of red blended with oranges, purples and crimsons..
Painted over the cloudy canvas of the sky
As the flames spread, one by one the the clouds were set ablaze.
Soon, the the sun sank below the waves , the rays of magenta, violet and amber faded.
I see this every single day.
Yet it is always a miracle.
