I heard the Marine crying and calling out for the doc.
It was like the cry of a child to its mother or father.
A Marine in pain, a Marine in desperate need of help.
Blood spilling from the Marine.
His life slowly fading away.
Another Marine lie next to him, lifeless.
The Marine could not help his fallen brother for he had fallen himself.
The enemy gunfire was fierce and unpredictable.
The doc finally crawls to the hurting man.
The Doc says, it's okay my brother. You're gonna live.
That's all the Marine needed to hear to have hope.
The watery eyes turned to strength.
The cry was no more.
The Marine found life and a will to fight another day.
The doc gave life where life was needed.
The doc gave hope, he cared for his fellow Marines, for these are his brothers, his family.
For without the doc, the Marine would be alone.
The Marine and the Doc are forever bonded.
