A poem about love.

A Chaste Kiss

He looks away

Eyes a hazy maelstrom

Searching for something to say

I listen to my heart hum

The night is silent

Giving us room for privacy

The stars look brilliant

But not as brilliant as he

I sit there frozen with fray

My poor heart tied in a knot

He looks my way

Eyes Conveying what words could not

As if trying to send me a sign

My heart skips a beat

His eyes meet mine

Before our lips finally meet

It was a slow passionate kiss

So tender yet so chaste

It was a moment of pure bliss

A moment that ended in haste
