The river and the star, The lonely river running through the valley, on a tortuous flee, On a hideous trip through the hollow, clenching to its glee, Never sleeps at night, ambitiously fleeting to the momentary wind, Tormented by the unsightly mountains, whilst you are god send. Like a prisoner locked in a cell, curtailed to the path, I dwell, A lone hermit, preaching of a divine solace to possess, Like noblemen surfacing amongst a stampede, contrary to the fill, A solitary wanderer, pursuing the kiss of the most high, careless. Sailing between the banks, with splashing splashes trying to spell, As I wait for your arrival, in the utter dark hell; a spark of love; a spark of passion; a spark of life, in the wholly darkened shell, Fascinating and endearing, you, like the night stars, Whilst, your shimmering gaze flaunts upon my waving pattern, A pensive mind, salient and wistful, solely holding scriptures of you, Still plentiful I am, and this life, worthy, For everytime I get to see you once in a while, Makes my whole life worthwhile. - Shane ©jacintoshane

The river narrates his love for the star.
He lives his life, locked between the river bank. He travels throughout his life, but never to stop and rejoice. He expresses his delight, when his lady love, the shimmering star, looks at him during the night. As she lets her shine chase the darkness dwelling around him, for a while. He feels that those short span of moments make his whole life worthwhile.
