A poem about lying.

Through Teeth

Lies come easier

Lies come easier to the very old

Lies come easier to the very old and very young–

teeth, like pickets,

teeth, like pickets, white and straight,

teeth, like pickets, white and straight, hold back the lies.

The very old and

The very old and the very young

The very old and the very young have fewer teeth

and their lies

and their lies slip through

and their lies slip through like water.
