A sonnet about my first love

Moonlight Princess - A Poem

Her face was soft and glowing in the night

Skin flushed with the light of a million moons

Her freckles danced in the velvet moonlight

Stillness echoing like wind in sandy dunes

The crystal water reflected every nerve

Shining rays on her delicate figure

Glistening like diamonds on every curve

Curves like a forever winding river

She was independent like a puce rose

Serene and untouched by the petals strown

Blades and spears covering her tender pose

Composed, she laid there, with her moonlight crown

A night time trance, real as a sunny moonlight beam

Her existence, her beauty was merely a dream
