No poem today. Here are my dreams from last night and what I learned from them. On today's Prompt

A Look into my Mind

My dreams, they tend to fade right away But not today...

I can still see and feel everything so clearly.

Instead of a poem, I would like relate to you what happened.

I feel that every single one of the parts taught me something that I can and want to bring into action right away. An "Action Movie".

The dream had four parts:

Part 1:

I was so tired in real life, I dreamt I was trying to sleep on my family's couch.

Two of my smaller cousins decided to lay their heads on my shoulders and cuddle next to me.

I don't see my family very often, and it makes me feel guilty at times.

But while I was comfortably laying there, I felt like I had already become the kind of person that many others could rely on.

That my rest had been earned.

Maybe they were my kids? Idk, but it certainly made me want to take on a lot more responsibilities for myself.

Part 2:

OK...this one is going to be a bit strange (smily)

Still falling asleep everywhere. This time I was in a huge and luxurious bathroom inside of a mansion

The house belonged to someone in my family, a lesbian couple to be precise...

Each had an individual shower and next to each were about 4-5 different sized battery operating razor machines...

So, first I thought... "(°ロ°)☝" "These ladies must be quite hairy"...

and then I went like: "◉_◉"

"(¬_¬) got it..."

(it is beyond me how so much naiveté still manages to reside in this body.)

Seeing that level of luxury made me think about the things I take for granted and how I want to take better care for the things I own, which are plenty.

Part 3:

In this dream, someone put a gun in my hands. The person looked like a noble man from the 1850's.

The pistol was strange looking. One of these guns that only has one shot, but it was also futuristic.

The one bullet it carried inside would certainly do a lot of damage. I knew that much somehow.

As I made my way towards the fight, I saw an older man who was missing half of his jaw.

But this was not from a recent battle. His wounds had been made a long time ago.

That's when I realized that not only was I in danger of getting hurt in such a way, but that I was also about to do worst to another human being.

In the middle of the dream I started to think about all those men who, during the civil war, and the first WW, simply stood there and got shot in the face.

Now a days, we don't have to kill another human being to defend ourselves. This helps put my life into perspective.

Part 4:

This last one is super short.

As I was in that luxurious bathroom, I fell asleep, again. lol

When I woke up, someone I know, a friend, came up to me and said:

"You shouldn't have fallen asleep there."

My immediate reaction was to apologise. But I stopped myself before I said anything. And instead i told him:

"This is my family's house and I can sleep wherever the hell I want. Go mind your own business."

And he went away knowing that he had been out of place.

Given the chance, there are plenty of people who will try to step over you. It's not just that they are "bad" or insecure, it's that you are letting them fucking do it.

A reminder to not always be so "nice". aka: "Don't be a filthy casual". -Iqra ̿̿ ̿̿ ̿̿ ̿'̿'\̵͇̿̿\з= ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) =ε/̵͇̿̿/’̿’̿ ̿ ̿̿ ̿̿ ̿̿
