When you said you love me I thought you lied so I closed my doors  as I closed my eyes

then came the silence of a tied tongue who is told to speak like a lady when it means to not speak at all

The silence  took days then months decades until the day came  you told me to dive the vast ocean

you told me to run where no man has reached you told me to savor the tasteless flavors and told me to speak what has not been spoken

But I am afraid it is too late for this lady has learned to know her place it is not on top of the mountain that men have built

it is with the flowers  that blossoms with colors only to wait for the day for their colors to be plucked away

then came a moment I saw truth in your eyes the regret to see the woman you made me one that is not far from the reflection  of the woman you are

As silence took over your breath speaks a million words words that I wish I could understand

so again  you said you love me as you pulled away the strings on my tongue and told me 

speak like a lady when it finally means  to speak everything in my mind
