I was in abundance. I would sparkle under the sun. I would be sky blue during day and grey black with shadow of the moon.
I was so transparent that the fishes that swam within me were so clear to one's eye. Every life would relish my taste. When rains came I would rise expanding into everything. Come what season, I was there to fend and quench life.
Then came a time that I needed care, Preservation from summer heat, Protection from contamination. But none took heed.
I was left crippled; life with in me was sucked. Days went by, weeks went by, months went by and then years went by. This year and this day where I was stands abandoned. No sparkling water but just black sand. by RG
