robots (little lights)

by rain

have you ever looked into a mirror and wondered who you are?

have you ever looked into a lightbulb, and seen that spark of s o m e t h i n g ?

is the light trapped inside a cage?

have you seen the way the sun paints the sky with it's fingers, trailing through clouds and dripping across the nighttime?

is that how it's supposed to be?

or should we keep it locked away, all our imagination, all our light, brightening the world from inside a cage?

are we robots, or are we dreamers?

does society own us, or do we own society?

set it free.

tear down the chains that bind you and me.

create. use your freedom. be.

Nice poem. Nice message. I like the lightbulb metaphor. You have written a very positive poem here and I love it. Great poem!!!!!!
