A Schizoid Dream

Corrosive thoughts invade my mind It could be just my imagination That safe place I can’t ever find It’s better not to pay attention

Schizophrenia has claimed its place again It’s hard to discern real from fake Those voices, always perturbing my brain I can’t reach peace; this is more than I can take

I had a dream A dream of coherence and lucidity Green meadows under the moonbeam The sound of the wind, all was calm and placidity

I was laying down, looking up at the stars Raising my hands to the sky It was the end of my inner wars I thought I cried, it was something in my eye
