My heart sinks to the bottom of this ocean,
weighed down by the mysteries of the ‘what if’?
Hidden under the wreckage of past loves and trials,
Slowly disintegrating into the abyss of what’s missed.
But what else is there to do but to swim to newfound territory,
And never look back on the sorrows that sunk, the drama that drifts,
Search through the depths of my soul for another means to reminisce,
And to stop questioning the ‘what if’
because what will happen, will be what it is.
