From the chains to segregation

to the hatred in separation.

Only love is the indication

and a means to find an unyielding spark.

Since it took for Rosa Parks

who stood up for her heart

to inevitably start a freedom march

for the Mocha, Caramel, Cream,

and for the souls that needed the dream.

Hoping to find love and unity in a place built on a divide.

Only to see beyond our eyes

and find

where hatred truly lies.
