I pray for the evils of the world,
hoping their demons are at once, released,
only to be lifted up and transmuted,
to become the true definition of peace.
At oneness we’ll breathe.
This means so much to me.
Since the enemies on my back
for being a lesbian and being black.
And for simply being different
even with the hand I use to write,
with what’s hidden between my legs,
why my soul doesn’t lie about the fight.
For things I can’t change.
