That's near alright. Well... for Anna, anyways.
They say that being a fresh graduate is one of the best feelings ever... but not for Anna
She loved her life in college.
Everything was perfectly fine and simple, just like how she wanted it to be.
She had great friends. And she had good grades.
She on top. Always, on top, of her class.
She was smart and everything.
Though... all of these. She doesn't want to let go.
But she had to.
So on the day of her graduation, she had to give a motivational speech to everyone.
"Hello... everyone," she reads, her voice trembling.
"Today is the day, we all get to wear our togas and finally... finally receive our own diplomas,"
"But aside from that good act... there are some possible,"
"Some possible negativities too... we get to leave our friends, and our memories here..."
"But as all of you know, we have to move on"
"Of course, you can always keep our memories in our hearts forever, but the sad thing is. We don't get to see each other often,"
"That's the sad truth in graduations,"
"It's hard to accept the fact that you have to let go and just grow... without your other friends to support you,"
"Though, we can always use our phones for communication,"
"And we might see each other sometime, but that's not the point. Yes, we get to see each other, just not that frequently,"
"Maybe... just maybe,"
"We'd focus on our future and we might not care about others anymore, which is sad, but my fellow graduates, let's try to NOT forget each other, okay?"
"If any of you needs help..."
"We're all just here to support and guide you. We can even help you. Because that is what friends are for. We help each other continue in life,"
"So to everyone out there, never give up in your dreams,"
"When you think you would never succeed, try to think about what your future would be if you try to do your best. Never believe that you won't ever succeed,"
"Because all those successful people out there?"
"They went through that feeling too. But they didn't give up, they didn't doubt in themselves. Instead of giving up, they strove harder, that's why they became successful,"
"So now, never give up in your dreams. Follow your heart,"
"Follow your passion. Stay true to yourself, never follow someone else's path. But you can actually use them as motivation," she laughs, and her audiences laughed along too.
She cleared her throat and began speaking again.
"Don't follow someone else's path because that's unoriginal, you must make your own path. Your own fate,"
"Fear will be a player in your life, but you know?"
"You have to take risks. Sure, you can spend your whole life worrying about your future, but all there will ever be is what's happening now, and the decisions we make at this moment,"
"And our decisions are based with either love or fear,"
"So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. Because what we really want, is really impossible to reach. That's what you think, anyways,"
"If you believe that you, yourself, can do it, then you can"
"All you've got to do is believe in yourself. Never stop believing,"
"Ease up on yourselves,"
"Have some compassion for yourself and for others. There’s no such thing as perfection, and life is not a race. Never think it is. Because you've just got to live up your life,"
"We only live once,"
"Don't waste that opportunity. Live life, okay guys? Before I end my speech, sadly, I would like to thank everyone for being there, for me and for others,"
"We helped ourselves in every way possible,"
"We never gave up. So just like us, never give up too."
"So as I end my speech... thank you for everyone,"
"Who went here, who supported your very own children who are about to be young adults, thank you for being here with us to celebrate this special ceremony,"
"So now, we're about to be graduated,"
"Congratulations to everyone and have a good day!" she ended her speech, with a smile on her face. She somehow felt a little easy now.
As she stepped out of the podium, she heard loud applauses.
From everyone. She faced them and gave a large bright smile.
"Being graduated is not so bad, after all,"
She said and smiled. And went back to her seat.
Not forgetting about her speech.
